About Coverdale Cats

We are proud to be New Brunswick‘s first feline-only practice, as well as being locally owned and operated. Coverdale Cats was established from a desire to offer an environment and services designed entirely for our feline friends.

We invite you and your fur baby to make yourself at home in our intimate cat-friendly office and enjoy personalized, attentive service as we focus on one patient at a time.

Creating A Space Just For Cats

Coverdale Cats is committed to providing thorough consultations in a low-stress environment. The entire hospital, from kennels to instruments and environmental enrichment, has been designed specifically for cats. We are proud to offer not only physical exams and assessments, but also comprehensive wellness evaluations including regular blood pressure monitoring, mobility assessment, blood work, and behaviour and nutrition discussions.

We are also pleased to offer full-service surgery from spays, and neuters, to mass removals, orthopedic surgery and other soft tissue surgeries. We believe prevention and early detection are far better than watching for signs of illness and only then see seeking treatment.

When your cat becomes ill, we have a fully equipped lab to evaluate bloodwork, urinalysis, fecal and cytology. We also offer ultrasound, endoscopy and digital radiology in partnership with our sister hospital, Coverdale Vet. If your pet does require hospitalization, we have kennels specifically designed for your comfort. Each kennel is made with built-in sitting shelves, a separate leisure area, a separate section for a litter box and a view from our special kitty window. Rooms are equipped with calming pheromones and music to help their stress.

We have team members on-site 24/7 caring for your loved ones and making sure they have interactions that they enjoy, outside of scheduled treatment and nursing care; from petting, playing and reading in a soothing voice, all for your fur baby’s comfort.
This is not just because we love cats (though we really do), but research has shown that when you are less stressed, your body is able to recover faster. It is our aim that this quality one-on-one time with our patients will reduce their stress and speed up their recovery! We also give multiple updates each day to you as the pet parent while your loved one is in the hospital.
